Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you send an enquiry

The kind of photography you need, where and when, duration, number of people and budget range.
Your name, email address and preferred contact method; optionally a phone/WhatsApp number, Telegram username, country of residence and a message.
Your consent to us processing the enquiry, with the date and the version of the wording you agreed to.
How you reached us: the page you first landed on, the referring website and any campaign (UTM) tags in the link, and a coarse device type (mobile, tablet or desktop).

When you use the contact form

Your name, email address, the topic and your message.

When you browse

Our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. For rate limiting we store a one-way hash of your IP address for a short period, never the address itself. If — and only if — you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects usage data; see our cookie policy.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To respond to your enquiry, find suitable photographers and prepare a quote — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
To keep records of enquiries, measure which pages and channels bring enquiries, and prevent spam and abuse — our legitimate interests in running and improving the service (Article 6(1)(f)).
Analytics cookies — your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
Keeping records we must keep by law, for example for tax — legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

We do not use your data for automated decision-making, and we do not sell it.

Who we share it with

Photographers we consider for your enquiry receive the details they need to check availability and prepare a quote. Photographers are independent businesses; once you book one, they will also be a controller of your data for the session.
Service providers who process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting, database and file storage), Telegram (internal notification of new enquiries), Resend (sending emails), Google (analytics, only with your consent) and, where configured, Sentry (error monitoring, which is not sent customer personal data).
Authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 24 months from our last contact, then deleted or anonymised. Records relating to a booking are kept for as long as needed for the booking and for our legal and accounting obligations (usually six years). Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our use of it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us at [privacy contact email — to be confirmed] or through our contact form (choose “A privacy or data request”). We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with our hosting provider. Access to enquiries is limited to authorised staff through an authenticated admin area, and changes are logged.
