Photographing Blackpool

Getting there and around
Blackpool North station has direct trains from Manchester and Preston; from London, most journeys change at Preston. Blackpool South is served by a slower branch line. By road, the M55 links the town to the M6.
Along the seafront, the tram runs the full length of the promenade and is the easiest way to move between the piers, the Tower and Stanley Park's nearest stops. The centre around the Tower is walkable, and Stanley Park is a short bus or taxi ride inland.
Parking is plentiful but fills during summer weekends and the Illuminations, when traffic along the promenade can crawl. Check current car park options with Blackpool Council. Lancaster is a short trip north, and Liverpool and Manchester are each within reach by train.
